Castelrotto is located at the bottom of the Alpe di Siusi pasture and is the biggest village in the Sciliar region. Castelrotto is the hometown of the famous Kastelruther Spatzen band. However, other celebrities also come from this village: for example the musicians Oswald Sattler and Alexander Rier, and the skiers Denise Karbon and Peter Fill. The enchanting village centre awaits you with many interesting shops. In winter you can stroll along the Christmas Market.

By cable car from Alpe di Siusi to Siusi
Siusi enjoys a sunny position at 1000 m of altitude at the bottom of Sciliar Mountain. Surrounded by meadows and forests, the Alpe di Siusi cable car is ideal to get up to the high-alpine pasture and back. Troubadour Oswald von Wolkenstein used to have his summer residence in this area: the Hauenstein Ruin thrones over Siusi and is also open to the public. Embedded between mills, farms and meadows, in Siusi you'll also find an 18-hole golf course.
Fiè allo Sciliar

The community of Fiè allo Sciliar stretches from the valley basin at 315m up to 2564 m of altitude. The vegetation is therefore characterised by vineyards and olive trees, but also alpine pastures and forests. The village centre is located at 880 m at the bottom of Sciliar Mountain. The village is proud of its traditions regarding hay baths, and used to be a popular cure town already over 100 years ago. Worth visiting are Prösels Castle, Fiè Lake, the top-class Chamber Music Weeks, and numerous churches and chapels.
